Google introduced a new Augmented Reality Ads for the beauty industry. Shoppers will be able to try on hair colour, foundation & lip colour settings for respective products.  This robust feature encourages shoppers to spend more time exploring products resulting in a better conversion rate. Brands like Covergirl and Dior have already made their assets available using AR ads.

With the new immersive, inclusive 'try on' ads, brands can provide a tailored experience to each user. When browsing for beauty products like eyeshadow, lipstick and other cosmetics, AR ads will offer a 'try-on' feature to the users.

Google indicated that early tests of the technology have indicated that users are likely to spend more time on websites and possibly increase ROI using AR Ads. Like everything digital, the focus is more on improving user experience and refining it to each user's preferences.
