The Challenge that Blocked Plumbing Services was facing
Blocked Plumbing Services are a local plumber based on NSW’s Central Coast. They came to us looking for information on how they could compete with the big players in their industry. With a small team and consistent business, they were doing alright. But if they wanted to grow any bigger they needed a way to take market share from their competition, who were bigger and more established than they were.
The Solution
To help them find their footing online and grow their business, we focused on optimising what they already had. We optimised their GMB listings, and website content, tailoring it for SEO and ensuring it spoke directly to the needs of local customers.
We worked outwards from their business location, slowly expanding the locations we were targeting with local SEO. With a small, relatively new online presence, we couldn’t compete directly with the big players in the area. Instead, we aimed for location-specific long-tail keywords, keywords with low competition and good search volume.
To increase conversions and make the most of new traffic, we improved website usability overall. This meant having clear service offerings, their phone number front and centre, and a chat box where visitors could contact the business directly.

While ranking a fresh website can be an uphill battle, Blocked Plumbing Services saw a steady increase in rankings and leads. Within six months we had achieved first page rankings on a range of local keywords and were able to start expanding the strategy. Since then, Blocked Plumbing Services has seen more than 2086 calls, 164 chats, and 77 form submissions. For the business, that’s 2 new service trucks, 4 new employees, and an increase in revenue of 111.16%!
